Workshop Weighted Automata: Theory and Applications

This workshop is a joint effort of our chair and the chair of Automata and Languages at the University of Leipzig. Starting in 2002, it took place every other year, and since 2004 venues alternated between Dresden and Leipzig (with the exception of 2016 in Aalborg, Denmark).

The 14th International Conference on Finite-State Methods and Natural Language Processing (FSMNLP, September 23–25, 2019, Dresden, Germany)

The international conference series “Finite-State Methods and Natural Language Processing” (FSMNLP) is the premier forum of the ACL Special Interest Group on Finite-State Methods (SIGFSM). SIGFSM serves researchers and practitioners in natural language processing (NLP) working on:

  • natural language processing (implementation, applications, language resources),
  • theoretical aspects, or
  • combinations thereof,

that have obvious relevance or an explicit relation to finite-state methods.

FSMNLP 2019 takes place in Dresden, Germany.

Postgraduate Programme

Our chair participates in the new postgraduate programme “Quantitative Logics and Automata (QuantLA)”.

Our chair participated in the postgradate programme Spezifikation diskreter Prozesse und Prozeßsysteme durch operationelle Modelle und Logiken, which started in 1997 and ended in 2005.
