Available hotels

In Dresden you can find a large variety of hotels, covering all price ranges. You may book any of those hotels at your convenience, but please note that we have pre-reserved a limited number of rooms in the University Guest House “Am Weberplatz”. This pre-reservation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guest House “Am Weberplatz”

The Guest House is a hotel for short stays of guests of the TU Dresden, which makes it eligible for participants of the FSMNLP 2019. It offers reasonable accommodation for an affordable price and is located somewhat close to the conference venue (from the Guest House to the conference venue, see below). If you book there, then please make sure to mention the FSMNLP 2019 in order for the staff to assign you one of the pre-reserved rooms.

From the Guest House to the conference venue and back

Walking distance is 30-40 minutes. To get by public transport from the Guest House to the conference venue and back, we recommend either Route 1 or Route 2. Here is an overview map, displaying both routes together with all mentioned stations.

Route 1: Guest House → Conference venue

Walk from the Guest House “Am Weberplatz” to the tram station “Strehlener Platz” (5 minutes). Then, continue as follows:

Then, the conference venue is on the opposite side of the street.

Route 2: Guest House → Conference venue

Walk from the Guest House “Am Weberplatz” to the bus station “Zellescher Weg” (10 minutes). Then, continue as follows:

Then, walk to the conference venue across the university campus (15 minutes, see overview map).

Route 1: Conference venue → Guest House

The bus station “Helmholtzstraße” is right in front of the conference venue. Then, continue as follows:

Then, walk to the Guest House “Am Weberplatz” (5 minutes).

Route 2: Conference venue → Guest House

Walk from the conference venue to the bus station “Technische Universität”, across the university campus (15 minutes, see overview map). Then, continue as follows:

Then, walk to the Guest House “Am Weberplatz” (10 minutes).

(1) The final destination of bus line 61 alternates between “Weißig” and “Fernsehturm”. You can use either bus, because they diverge only later on, i.e. after “Zellescher Weg”.
